Who is Saki Imamura
Saki Imamura was born on April 16, 2002, in Kyoto, Japan. She started playing tennis at age of 4 and trying to become professional tennis player.
In 2018, she won her first national title in singles at MUFG Junior Championships (Under 16) and gained great confidence. After that title, she went on winning province, regional and her biggest title up to date, All Japan Junior Championships in August. She was undefeated at national level tournament in 2018.
She started to show her ability to play tough at international level as well. She was 650 in the beginning of June, 2018, but after playing some ITF junior tournaments since then, she finished year-end ranking No.154 in ITF World Junior Ranking.
In 2019, Saki played Australian tour with ITF Junior G1 and Australian Open Junior. She qualified to main draw in both tournaments. She also traveled to South America to play some tough tournaments on clay and picked up some good wins. She ended the season with ITF Jr ranking of 88.
Since June 2019, she moved to Hong Kong to train at Bruguera Tennis Academy Hong Kong seeking better training environment.
Saki will start 2020 season from Australian Tour.
